thought.

This is a repercussion of thought. This is the delicate time between each thought, and the mesmerizing rhythm between quietness and thinking. This is peaceful tranquility visualized, a time where all that can be done is to breath in the fresh air and feel.

Something new I have been working on and finally a combination of night and day.

  1. Oh goodness, Mandie! These are so lovely! And the statement really fits, it has a level of simplicity that flows with the images. And go you at combining night and day! Awesome. Though didn't you combine night and day images in that piece you did with the velcro backs on the in-progress wall? or am i crazy...
I like the repetition of "This is" in your statement as well, it speaks nicely to the images.

  2. Oh yes, I did with the North Carolina images. Thank you for your comment, I have been working on my statements more this year and they always seem to turn out short and sweet like. Who knows where I will end up next semester with my work... almost anything is possible. I even printed on large 5 foot sheets of fabric this semester :)

  3. Like Rose said, these are quite lovely. I would attribute it to the minimalist in me that I am incredibly attracted to the fourth image. The acute attention to the foreground wire directs the viewer's attention, but the near-busyness in the back opens the image up for further investigation and thought.

  4. I smell a tiny, cute, beautifully bound book! Also, I totally want to see the fabric prints, that sounds fantastic.
